Since 1904, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is incredible potential. As the nation’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 5 through young adulthood in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.

I have been a part of Big Brothers Big Sisters now for two years, and it has been such a great experience. I meet with my Little once a week after school, and we just spend time together and catch up. She has become one of my close friends, and I have definitely seen a change in her view and outlook on school and life overall. Because of the security of Big Brothers Big Sisters, I can’t share too much, but it has been such a life changing experience that I highly recommend it to everyone. You can also use the time you put in here as NHS or Key Club hours which is just another plus. This is doing something good for the community and others, and you will most definitely see the impact you have on these kids and maybe even the impact they have on you.
