James Heckelsmiller

Oh, the places you’ll go! My future plans are:
I will be attending MCC (McHenry County College) for 2 years then WIU(Western Illinois University) to get a degree in criminal justice and business and become a police officer.
Go Gators! My favorite memory from high school is:
Going to all sporting events and hanging out with my friends all the time.
I would love to give a big thank you to:
I liked all my teachers at South but I would especially like to thank Mr. Connell because I may have forgotten all about the physics stuff he taught me in AP, but I still remember everything else he taught be about being a good student and person.
If I could go back in time, the advice I would give my freshman self is:
Don’t hang around toxic people to “fit in.” Find your people that make you happy to be around and stick with them. Also don’t worry about what people think of you, it’ll just stress you out and waste your time because others opinions don’t matter.
Words of Wisdom:
Don’t be obnoxious, you’re all gonna grow up and hate the kids who you acted just like when you were their age.
My Senior Will:
I, James Heckelsmiller, leave my elite basketball and rapping skills to Charlie Alfonzo and Grace Moretti
How I continued my remote learning is:
I get my stuff over with early and carry on with my day.
