I’ve enrolled at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. I plan to study English and continue playing flute.

Go Gators! My favorite memory from high school is…

Pit orchestra was so much fun! I was really nervous to do it but I ended up having a blast. My favorite moment was when the band was playing with the actors for the first time and we got to a major plot twist near the end. No one in the band saw it coming! We’d been playing the music for months but we didn’t know anything about the plot! We all looked at each other in shock.

Words of Wisdom…

Take meaningful rest! Find something you enjoy doing which can relax your mind and give you a break from taking in tons of information. I find that when I spend my free time baking or taking a walk, I feel much more relaxed and energetic than after spending that time on YouTube. Also getting enough sleep is more important than grades.

What I’ll remember most about senior year…

I’ll remember how amazing it felt to get back in the building with my friends and teachers. I didn’t realize how much I missed in-person school until it was so suddenly taken away. Appreciate South’s awesome community and reach out to the people around you!
