Oh, the places you’ll go! My future plans are:
I will be attending Minnesota State University, Mankato for mechanical engineering. I have received the Legacy and Presidential scholarship.
Go Gators! My favorite memory from high school is:
My favorite memory from high school was everything with the German Exchange trip. I made so many news friends from Germany and from CLS. We all got together and hung out and many of us have still stayed close. I got to spend so much time with Frau and Herr and I can’t thank them enough for their dedication and support during this trip. I loved that we got to experience the world together while also growing together as a family.
I would love to give a big thank you to:
All my teachers have been such great support and helpful in success. However, I have to thank Mr. Allen, Mr. Adcock, and Mr. Connell. Thank you for going above and beyond and being someone I can always turn to. Thank you putting up with my antics and always being there to listen whether it was stopping in during passing periods or conversations during lunch periods. During some of the hardest points in high school you were there and I will forever remember that. You pushed me as a student and taught me how to be a better person. Thank you for always believing in me and helping me believe in myself. Thank you for everything because you really helped make me the person I am today.
If I could go back in time, the advice I would give my freshman self is:
Live your life and make choices for yourself. You don’t need to be perfect and you don’t need to do everything. Find your passion and do what is best for you. If you make a mistake, learn and grow from it and push yourself to be a better person. Be confident in yourself!
Words of Wisdom:
Work hard and strive for what you want. In the end do what makes YOU happy and you’ll have someone to support you no matter what.
My Senior Will:
I, Sydney Blake, leave Gator Prints to future journalists of CLS.
How I continued my remote learning is:
I always have my coffee with me during video calls. The best part of the video calls is seeing my class and being connected again. The teachers make it fun and entertaining such as showing off their Star Wars collection or bringing in their kids.
