Hands shaking;
Loud noises;
Fast breathing;
Out of control;
Thoughts spiraling
Held captive
By panic;
By the sudden
Anxiety
Can’t stop;
The worry runs;
Rolls like
A snowball
Down the hill,
Into deep,
Dark valley
Where
The thoughts
Came from;
I
May never
Know;
But
They are
Here
Eventually,
The panic
Subsides
Everything still loud;
Heart still pounding;
But in control;
Breathing steady;
Thoughts captured
Finally,
Able to function;
The panic
Has left;
Now,
I am in
Control
